Dr. A. K. Mehrotra, Senior Eye Surgeon and Superintendent, is a graduate of 1966 batch from Pt. B. D. Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak, and a post graduate from Nehru Institute of Ophthalmology and Research, Eye Hospital, Sitapur.
After serving for more than 15 years in world renowned Sitapur Eye Hospital, Dr. Mehrotra started his own practice in Roorkee. He has been serving, with dedication, the people of Roorkee and nearby places for the last 30 years.
Dr. Mehrotra's field of speciality is Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma, Infective Keratitis, Medical Retina and General Ophthalmology. He has performed more than 50 thousand Eye Surgeries during his long career.
Dr. Mehrotra was elected as President, Uttarakhand Ophthalmology Society in the year 2014-15 and organised a highly successful Ophthalmology Conference at Haridwar.
Dr. Mehrotra is associated with various social organisations like Rotary, Bharat Vikas Parishad and Jaycee's Club. He has conducted many free Eye Camps under the banners of these organisations.
